Accomodations in Bonn

We want you to feel at home while you are in Bonn. That’s why we have arranged for different options for accommodation, with varying price and comfort levels.

Eating at the conference venue

Conference participants may purchase meals at the Gustav-Stresemann-Institute: Lunch and Diner buffet 5,00 to 7,00 € (includes vegetarian options).

Stay in a hotel or a hostel

You can contact directly the hotels or book a room through Tourismus & Congress GmbH.

Be a guest in a private home

Some accomodations may be quite far from the conference venue and require the use of public transportation.
A day ticket for Bonn costs 6,70 € and a day ticket for travel from Köln to Bonn costs 14,40 €.
Weekly tickets cost 18,90 € (Bonn) and 42,40 € (Köln - Bonn).

In some cases you may also need to bring a sleeping bag, isolation mat or other bedding.

Hay Hotel Gut Ostler

The "Hay Hotel" at the Gut Ostler organic farm within the Bonn city limits offers sleeping space for around 40 conference participants. Bed down with your sleeping pad and bag in an historic brick barn in ‘rooms’ created by hay bales. WC and shower available. Camping

There is also some camping space at the Gut Ostler farm. Please bring your own tent, sleeping bag, pad and towel. The price is the same as above, 15€ a night with a simple breakfast and evening meal. Sign up to stay here at: unterkunft@planet-diversity.org

Getting to Gut Ostler: this takes about 35 minutes with public transportation.
BUS: the Bonn central bus station is directly across from the central train station. At the first row of buses, find the kiosk that says: Bussteig E. Two busses leave there for the farm, numbers 623 and 621. The 623 (direction Lessenich) takes 20 minutes, the 621 (“Duisdorf Bf Ü. Dransdorf”) takes 15. Get off at the Gielsdorfer Strasse stop (push the stop button on the blue posts before to make sure they stop!). From there cross the street and take the road to the left of the hair salon (“Frisiersalon”), which is the Gielsdorfer Strasse, to the right, downhill. Continue past the chicken field and take a right at the next street: Burgweg. Follow the high hedge for about 10 meters until there is a break: take a right into the farm complex, through the open green door. Cross the courtyard and look for the green door in the corner – the house entrance. People staying at Gut Ostler should check in with our Planet Diversity office there, to pay (daily and in advance please) and to book meals.
